twitter

Holy shit it's been two weeks. Apologies to my loyal subscriber(s).

I've actually been working very hard (gold star for me) and haven't had anything really to write about....until now.

Twitter has been the place where I've landed jobs, met friends, shared my interests/hobbies and recently, super recently, I thought about my platform usage because my phone (only place I can access twitter, going phone only is actually better than no phone) said I was on twitter for 33 minutes a day which to me is insanity. 200 hours per year.

Recently, the platform has not brought me joy, it feels like my posts are not reaching people, and my posts have been less authentic than I'd like, and I've been deleting a lot more.

I will not quit the bit though. It's too important of a place to get news, meet interesting people, see where the world is going. I need to create a better strategy of how to get the most out of twitter.

I'm just going to create rules for twitter that I will try my absolute hardest to follow.

  1. talk like I talk I want someone to read a tweet and know it came from my mind
  2. No deleting tweets self explanatory. just don't do it
  3. reach out to people who inspire you or you want to be friends with I used to be so good at this. Twitter is a way for me to meet I care about is building relationships with thoughtful, ambitious, kind people 4. create more than I consume easy one here. tweet, reply, be prolific, be honest, argue, share all of your thoughts. don't scroll

I think this is good for now - let's make twitter fun again
